At Urbanknit we are aiming to create new and interesting accessories for those with a taste for something different.

As the hand-made pieces are created to give the wearer the satisfaction of uniqueness they also provide everyday accessories to complement various styles and reinforce the spirit of individuality.

This collection consists of one-off bags and scarves.

BAGS: These are made out of African prints and batiks sourced by us mainly from Nigeria, West Africa. Each bag is unique in that no two can be the same due to the organic nature of the fabrics. These fabrics are sold in approximately 5 metre bundles therefore each bag is merely a piece of larger picture or pattern.

We contrast the vibrant and sometimes colourful patterns with more recognisable fabrics like denim, leather, velvet and so on.

SCARVES: These are handknitted or crocheted and most are made out of 100% merino wool.
