...My creative inspiration is carried from flow of dreams and senses,- being mostly intuitive I let the vision of colors and feelings lead me on in creative process.

The details in my works are often attached with books I've read, people I hold dear, moments captured in my mind and colors all around.

I also enjoy

to have long conversations with my close friends from time to time, reading fantasy and historical novels, burning candles, watching period drama movies and writing some poetry into the drawer for my own joy.

At my digital compositions I use details and images painted in Photoshop with Wacom Tablet, photos I have taken over the years, Poser figures and patterns created with Apophysis. Some scanned and altered details are from my vintage ephemera collection, lace, antique paper/fabrics and my original embroidery designs.
I started making embellished handbags about 8 years ago , when could not find a purse suitable to my eveninwear.
I' ve never made any bags exactly alike, so every work is always unique and exiting. As a former jeweler, I could not resist the idea of making jewelry out of those brocade, silk and lace scraps - bag making leftovers. Soon I was looking around to find interesting vintage materials to use them in my fabric jewelry as well. I have been collecting vintage lace, buttons, ribbons and fancy, decorated dresses about 10 years. Many of them are "hunted" from second- hand boutiques, washed, cut into pieces, sorted by color and material and preserved in tagged boxes and closets in my studio. I love to try out and mix different materials and techniques - I could call the mixture of these techniques an "intuitive sewing" since most of the work is done by hand.
I get lots of ideas from historical costumes- ball gowns and accessories of past centuries, especially Victorian Era and Art Nouveau rich decorated dresses. Sometimes I watch movies over and over to see beautiful vintage dresses exposed there :-) Old mansion interiors, antique costume jewelry and vintage millinery techniques are an endless source of inspiration.
