I set up Orangewonder in 2005 after a diverse educational and vocational past, ranging from metal-worker, potter, gardener, design technician and surfboard shaper.
The move into interior product design was driven by a desire to design functional objects for the home and industry. Whilst my ceramic practice in some ways satisfied this desire. I could not reconcile the use of brightly coloured glazes within functional ceramics. Yet the use of vibrant colours is a vital part of the aesthetic I was developing. This need to use colour drove me develop designs using materials which satisfied this style.
Maintaining a relatively traditional "truth to materials" ethos but now applying it to both modern and time-honored materials I have developed a simple, stylish and functional aesthetic.
My products range includes, lighting, interior products and home accessories.
Prices start at £8.00 and range through to £200.
