Hi! My name is Lisa Newton, and I've been designing and creating jewelry for about seven years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I'm for the most part "self taught" but I have taken some tutorials and then incorporate my own vision into each.

I love how jewelry can create an individual expression of one's self, and how it can create and change mood the moment that it's put on. It's a treasure what jewelry can add to our lives--I guess that's what drives my passion and obsession to create these little objects of desire...

I have drawn my inspirations from bits and pieces of the world around me: nature, geometric shapes, textures, colors, the Victorian and Renaissance era are big influences...I have also applied some techniques that I learned from the talented artists, Eni Oken and Connie Fox, who inspired my intricate wire pendants and coiled jewelry. Thanks to the both of you, for your generous information and tutorials!

I am excited and proud to share my jewelry with you, and I hope you find something you love, and if not, please don't hesitate to request a design idea that you have swimming around in your head! I highly welcome custom orders :-D

The name of my business, Julida, came from a combo of the first two letters of my name and my daughters' names--Julia and Danielle. If you were wondering!!
