It’s in the Mix!
Multicolored and cheerful, also intelligent and critical, as multilayered as the genuine life itself, is the work of Gabriele Prill showcased. Whether painting, sculpture or mixed media, the artist applies again and again new techniques, uses the variety of the materials and experiments. Special attention applies to Gabriele Prills watercolors. In affectionate details, not rarely with fine irony, they tell stories in bright colors from the everyday life, transport moods, describe situations. These works orient themselves stylistic from the representatives of the so called "Scene Painting”, a movement of the American painting, which developed in the 20's at the west coast. Very unusual are Prills most fastidious night paintings whch require a special technic of watercolor painting to bring the neonlights to glow.
