A mon sujet
Mein Name ist Daina Weinland. Ich bin 50 Jahre alt, frei schaffende Künstlerin. Ich lebe mit meiner kleinen Familie in Lübeck an der schönen Wakenitz. Hier hat es mich hingezogen, weil ich so gerne am Meer bin, die Stadt so schön ist und es hier herrliche Landschaften ringsum gibt.
Ich war lange im Streit mit mir selbst, was ich beruflich machen möchte. Was Praktisches oder was Künstlerisches/Kunsthandwerkliches? Nach dem Fachabitur für Gestaltung war ich auf einer langen Warteliste in der Fachhochschule für Gestaltung. Ich arbeitete mehrere Jahre als Souffleuse und Statistin in einem Hamburger Theater. Im Anschluss habe ich eine einjährige Ausbildung in einer Hamburger Schule für Schneidertechnik und Mode absolviert. Dann kam eine lange Familienpause. Währenddessen unterrichtete ich nebenbei zwei Gymnasialklassen in Kunst. Es war ein Lehrauftrag. In Berlin habe ich den Beruf der Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellten mit Abschluss vor der Rechtsanwaltskammer erlernt.
Als Kind habe ich viel gemalt. Als ich zwölf Jahre alt wurde, bekam ich einen Schmincke Aquarellmalkasten zum Geburtstag. Ich habe ihn heute noch und er kommt in manchen Zeiten täglich zum Einsatz. Ansonsten arbeite ich gerne mit Kreiden, auch Ölkreiden, Gouache, Pastellkreiden, Bleistiften, Buntstiften und anderen Malmitteln und Materialien.
Ich male leidenschaftlich gerne. Jedes Bild ist eine Reise in mir selbst, eine Reise in andere Welten, Auseinandersetzung mit Erlebtem und Gesehenem oder Gedanken. Es macht mich froh und glücklich.
Ich finde hier auf dieser Plattform viele sehr schöne Arbeiten anderer Menschen. Ich freue mich über die Möglichkeit, ohne in der ganzen Welt zu reisen - was ich eigentlich gerne mal tun würde - in den Genuss zu kommen, so zahlreiche interessante und schöne Dinge sehen zu können.
Nun lade ich Euch ein, meine Bilder und anderes anzusehen und freue mich, wenn Euch meine Sachen gefallen.

My name is Daina Weinland. I am 50 years old, a freelance artist.
I’m living with my young family in Luebeck on the beautiful Wakenitz. It has drawn me here because I love the sea, the city is so beautiful and the landscape is amazing around here.
For a long time, I couldn’t figure out what to do professionally. Something practical or something artistic? According to the Department of Design graduation, I was on a long waiting list in the school of design. I worked for several years as a prompter and an amateur actor in a Hamburg theater. Subsequently, I completed a one-year education in a school for fashion and tailor-techniques in Hamburg. Then came a long family break. Meanwhile, I also taught two highschool classes in arts. It was a teaching contract. In Berlin I have learned the profession of a lawyer specialist staff with degree from the lawyers’ chamber.
As a child I used to paint a lot. When I was twelve years old, I got a set of Schmincke Watercolours for birthday. I still have it and there are periods where I have it in daily use. Besides, I like to work with chalk, even oil crayons, gouache, pastel, pencils, crayons and other painting utensils and materials.
I am a passioned painter. Each painting is a journey inwards, a journey into other worlds and deals with experiences or thoughts. It makes me happy and confident.
On this platform, I find a lot of exciting and fine work of many different people. I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy so many interesting and beautiful things without travelling the whole world - which ist what I’d actually really like to do one day ...
