HalfanAcre 01.07.2008 16:05i've put the meaning of ACEO in the description - I didn't know what one was until I got to Etsy!
Its like pocket reminder of the artist who did it - some people collect ACEOs of dogs or cats or landscapes ... I think fish would be a good load to collect *grins* -
they also look fab is you collect - say six *hint* - and mount them in two rows of three pics in one frame. something interesting for people to get up close to.better get some more in my shop now!
SKAGallery 02.07.2008 06:20I have been creating ACEO size (2.5"X3.5") paintings for about a year.....They are highly addictive and, therefore, collectible mostly because they are so affordable. Creating an ACEO was a way for artists in the 1800's to introduce their 'style' to each other. They were re-introduced in the 1990's by artists for the same reason. They really caught on!....My shop is filled with them....Check them out!....:)
SKAGallery 02.07.2008 06:30Oh....ACEO stands for 'Art Cards,Editions & Originals'....I only offer originals....:)
