koshikira is a young jewelry brand that creates unique, high-quality pieces with a timeless design for everyday wear as well as for special occasions. All pieces are handcrafted with love in our studio in Hamburg, using the finest materials such as 925 sterling silver, gold- filled metals and gorgeous, colourful, semi-precious gemstones from all around the world.
A piece of jewelry must be something very special, in the best case it is something that no other woman wears, and it underlines the individual's personality. For this reason we complete our jewelry only after receipt of order and adapt the desired piece to the personal needs of the customer. Thus, various free design options allow you to wear unique jewelry that is made specifically for you and values your preferences.

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED JEWELRY?
Gold-filled and vermeil products are a great, quality alternative to the much more expensive solid karat gold. Both are high in quality & with proper care and storage, you will have attractive jewelry that lasts. It’s the economical way to enjoy the luster of gold without the big price tag.
Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. It’s not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100 times more gold than gold plating. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. Anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry. Solid gold is of course an exquisite piece of jewelry, but gold filled is the next level and is an amazing, quality alternative to solid gold.
It is very important that you keep it dry - never bathe or spray perfume on your jewelry. Chemical reactions with chlorine and other elements such as sweat & perspiration can lead to tarnishing. With gold filled metals or any gold plated metals humidity is the enemy, if possible try to seal and store in air-tight plastic baggie. Never keep your jewelry in the bathroom!!!
Quick tips to make it last longer
1. Keep it dry! Apply makeup and hairspray before putting on your jewelry, they may contain harsh chemicals that affect your jewelry
2. After each wear gently wipe each piece of jewelry clean of make up and skin oils with a jewelry polishing cloth.
3. Store jewelry separately so it doesn't scratch other jewelry... the best way is to seal and store in an air-tight plastic baggie. Again, never keep your jewelry in the bathroom - humidity is the enemy!!!
