Dieses Bild einer schönen Frau in ihrem prachtvollen Kimoni ist in Kyoto entstanden.

In Japans früheren Kaiser- und Hauptstadt, sind alte Traditionen und Gebräuche auch heute noch fester Bestandteil des täglichen Lebens. Daher ist es nicht allzu ungewöhnlich, selbst an den heißesten Tagen Trägerinnen solch seidender Farbenpracht beim Flanieren zu begegnen.

Der Ausdruck dieser Frau wirkte auf mich fast so, als sei sie auf einer Irrfahrt durch alten und verwinkelten Straßen der Stadt.

Dieses Foto ist Teil meiner "Dentō"-Reihe, was im Japanischen so viel wie "Tradition" bedeutet.

Es handelt sich um eine limitierte Edition, die auf professionellem seidenmattem Ilford-Fotopapier gedruckt und auf der Rückseite handsigniert wurde.

Das Wasserzeichen erscheint nur auf der Computeransicht und ist auf dem finalen Druck natürlich nicht zu sehen.

This shot was taken in Kyoto of a woman in a gorgeous kimono. Kyoto is the old capital of Japan and old customs and traditions are exhibited in everyday life and it is not uncommon to witness women dressed in beautiful silk kimonos, even on the hottest of days.

The woman's expression appeared as if she was lost and wandering around the ancient roads of the city.

This photograph is part of the 'Dentō' series which means 'tradition' in japanese.

This photograph is limited edition, printed on Ilford professional satin matte photographic paper and signed on the back. The watermark appears only on this example and not on the actual print.
