Soft leather shoes are getting more and more popular with active littleones and their parents. They have unbeatable advantages: - a slip resistant suede leather sole - breathable leather - hidden elastic band round the ankle, which makes it almost impossible for babies
- help keeping those socks on :-) - feeling like walking barefoot so that baby's feet can grow healthily For the production we only use organic leather, which is exclusively produced in Germany. It is tanned with vegetable extracts. As compared to common chrome tanning (approx. 90% of the leather produced worldwide) vegetable tanning has advantages regarding ecology and health. For consumers‘ protection these leathers have been tested for their health and environmental compatibility. It is suitable for allergic people and very sensitive skin. The leather surface is not sealed with a plastic layer common to many other leathers. This leather breathes and quickly adjusts itself to ambient temperature. The open surface quickly absorbs and releases moisture, thus preventing a piling up of warmth and moisture. Please note: Because of the unsealed leather surface - intensive colours can stain especially when getting in contact with moist. (e. g. baby's mouth :-) )
It is therefore recommended maybe not to wear white socks or very light clothes with intensive coloured shoes. The leather is very soft and cuddly but still approx. 1,5 mm thick and therefore very robust. This quality is most important to us especially because the soft skin of our children deserves only the best. We make shoes of size newborn up to size 24 (European size) - bigger sizes on request. We always calculate in the necessary space for growing. All we need is the length of your baby's foot. If possible stand the child onto a sheet of paper and mark the back and the front of the foot - then take the measure of the marked distance. Please make sure you keep the pen upright so that it doesn't slip under the foot. If the child is not standing up jet, you can use a ruler and measure baby's foot making sure that those tiny toes don't curl up :-) Please measure the feet with their socks on. Look up this measured distance (please don't add anything for growing) in the following table and order the according size: newborn (doesn't need to be measured) Size 17 from 10,5 cm Size 18 from 11,1 cm Size 19 from 11,8 cm Size 20 from 12,5 cm Size 21 from 13,1 cm Size 22 from 13,8 cm Size 23 from 14,5 cm Size 24 from 15,1 cm Every shoe is produced according to customers request. The elastic band round the ankle is left unknotted so that you can adjust the shoes to your baby's legs. This way it can't be too tight or too lose. Available colours are: light brown, dark brown, light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, yellow, orange, red, white, rose, pink (very bright), and lilac (very dark) This auction only shoes an example.
