Offcuts Yarn: a unique recycled hand knit yarn, created from a blend of surplus industrial yarns.

Working with new yarns and colours each season, we inevitably end up with spare cones of beautiful industrial yarn. Rather than letting them sit around, we decided to combine and blend these industrial yarns into a chunky hand-knitting yarn. Each mix is unique, and limited to just 40 fifty gram balls.

This AUBERGINE yarn is 38% cotton, 34% wool, 25% viscose, 3% lurex. See other listings for other colours.

The yarn is of a Chunky weight, with around 62m per 50g. Knitted on 7mm needles, it knits up at approximately 14 stitches/10cm and 17 rows/10cm.

Here we are selling the yarn in a pack of 8 balls, so 36.00€ gets you eight balls of 50g each.

Q. How much do I need?
A. While patterns vary, here's a rough guide:
small scarf or hat: 2-3 balls
wide scarf: 4-5 balls
sleeveless top or shrug: 6-8 balls
cardi or jumper: 12-15 balls
