MEASUREMENTS: Flower itself is 3.25 inches= 8 cm long. With leaves 4.75 inches =12 cm long.
DETAILS: 3 inches = 7.5 cm long black colored hair pin. Gold colored bead cap, pearl, felt (flower is glued to that)

The cherry blossom kanzashi are made of silk flowers. I used authentic Japanese silk fabric that is used to make kimono.
Beautiful fabrics with gorgeous bright colors have always been one of greatest my passion. When I came across "Tsumami Kanzashi" online I knew it was fate. This technique is used to make exquisite hair "jewelry" for the apprentice geisha, maiko. It took me a while to gather all traditional material to start working on the projects on my mind. Here they are, I hope you enjoy and love them as much as I do.
