Design against AIDS
Who
Designers Against Aids (DAA) is a not for profit organization which is engaged in raising Aids awareness worldwide. DAA has international support from well known designers, artists, musicians and dedicated people. DaWanda is the online marketplace for artists, designers and creatives to sell their handmade work. In support of World Aids Day 2008, DaWanda and Designers Against Aids are working together for this charity action, with the support of Myspace. The Action
DaWanda and DAA are reaching out for World Aids Day on December 1st and invite all designers and creatives to reinterpret the red Aids awareness ribbon as new. All ideas are welcome, whether you incorporate the red loop abstractly in the context of fashion, furniture, stickers, or other art work or create your own version of the red ribbon. Established artists and designers who already work with DAA are taking part in this charity action.Your product must be listed for sale on DaWanda by 01.12.2008. Please add the tag word "Aids" to your listing. If your product is bought, 10% charity commission of the selling price will be donated to Designers Against Aids to help support their cause. The remaining 90% of the selling price is yours to keep. You may specify the selling price of your piece when you list your item. Myspace will feature selected pieces entered into the competition, and on 01.12.2008 we will showcase all of the entries here and announce the winners.
